June 25, 2008 City of Industry Royal Lions participated a Bowl-A-Thon event with Junior Achievement.

Junior Achievement uses hands-on experiences to help young people understand the business of life. In partnership with business and educators, Junior Achievement brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential. We teach our kids about everything from the importance of a firm handshake to how to balance a check book. 

Among the many reasons YOU should bowl….

• You will impact the future of young people in your community by supporting programs that prepare them to succeed in the real world
• You will provide a fun and exciting way for your coworkers to network
• You will provide an opportunity to build morale and inspire a spirit of team and community among those in your department or company
• You will contribute back to the community by supporting a program that is a proven solution provider for our nation’s educational and economic challenges

After the event, we enjoyed at "Machi".

Jan 19, 2008 We had a E-Recycle activity at Puente Hill Mall from 10:00am- 4:00pm.

                     

爲了響應環境保護的意識與全民的教育，洛杉磯工業市皇家獅子會上個周末（十九號）聯合了加州電子回收中心，在工業市的Puente Hills Mall共同舉辦了一場有意義的“電子廢棄物回收活動”，並得到了附近民衆熱烈的回響。
 
由於環保意識逐漸擡頭，現在越來越多人了解到電子廢棄物若是處理不當，將會對我們的生態環境造成嚴重的污染與傷害。但是，由於宣導不足，而且往往因爲需要收費，一般民衆對電子廢棄物的回收也就不怎麽願意去配合。因此，工業市皇家獅子會本著回饋社區的公益心，與加州電子回收中心共同舉辦了這一場電子廢棄物的免費回收活動，並且與當地的民衆產生了良好的互動，許多的民衆在周末帶著全家大小逛街之餘，都把在家中存放以久而不知如何處理的電子廢棄物帶來回收，工業市皇家獅子會與加州電子回收中心也借此機會對民衆進行免費的宣導，教育民衆如何妥善處理電子廢棄物。
 
舉辦這次的公益活動，工業市皇家獅子會也得到了獅子會總會的讚賞與支持。在活動的其間，並有許多友會的重量級人士，如工業市友會的會長David，柔似蜜獅子會榮譽會長暨獅子會4-L2地區總監呂振茂（Hicho Loo）等到場給與支持鼓勵。工業市皇家獅子會會長任曉雯（Phoebe Jen）在受訪時表示，工業市皇家獅子會自創會以來，本著滿腔公益的熱忱，已經在社區舉行了很多次的不同的公益活動。這次很高興能與加州電子回收中心聯合舉辦這次活動，並得到了這麽熱烈的關注與回響。工業市皇家獅子會深深了解到環保對我們社區的重要意義，今後將會加強與加州電子回收中心合作，定期在社區内舉辦類似的活動，進行環保的宣導教育以回饋社區。
